Yes, you heard it right—Elite Barbell Sunset Park is now complete! We’re thrilled to share some exciting updates since our last post.
Let’s address the elephant in the room first. Unfortunately, as many of you may know, we had to close our Dyker Heights location. It was a tough decision, but with every challenge comes an opportunity. This shift allowed us to go all in on our Sunset Park location, making it the official headquarters of Elite Barbell.
What does this mean for you? We’ve taken the best of Dyker and Sunset and merged them into one powerhouse gym. Here’s what’s new:
The Bodybuilding Room has been reimagined and renamed the Main Room.
The Powerlifting Room is now the Premium Room, offering an exclusive experience for those serious about powerlifting.
Big Changes to the Main Room:
The Main Room now has a dedicated powerlifting section, equipped with three combo racks and kilo plates—perfect for lifters who need top-tier gear without stepping into the Premium Room.
What Makes the Premium Room Special?
The Premium Room remains the ultimate space for competitive powerlifters. It’s outfitted with the exact equipment you’ll find on the grand stage—ideal for honing your skills and training like the best.
As 2024 winds down, we want to extend a massive thank you to all of our supporters. Midyear, things were rocky, and we weren’t sure how the story would play out. But with your encouragement and loyalty, we course-corrected and came back stronger than ever.
It’s not about how you start—it’s about how you finish. And let us tell you, the future at Elite Barbell is brighter than ever.

Powerlifting room complete!
We meant to update this blog a couple of weeks ago when it was completed, but we’ve been incredibly busy managing both gyms. The powerlifting room at our Sunset location was a long time in the making, but it’s finally done!
We’ve matted the entire room to allow deadlifts to be performed anywhere within the space. Additionally, we’ve added two Eleiko combo racks and one ER rack, bringing us to a total of three. We also have four Eleiko IPF competition bars and a complete set of kilo plates for members to use.
Another exciting update is that we’ve gone 24 hours! We now offer select memberships with 24-hour access. The first option is Tier 1 + 24-Hour, which provides access to the bodybuilding room only, but with 24-hour availability. Tier 3 gives members access to the entire facility along with 24-hour access.
The New Era: Elite Barbell Opens Second Location!
After countless hours of hard work, the time has finally come. We’re thrilled to announce the soft launch of our second location! Located at 204 25th St, Brooklyn, NY 11232, this new spot marks a significant milestone for Elite Barbell.
Bodybuilding Section: Nearly There!
Our bodybuilding section is about 80 percent complete and we’re currently fine-tuning it. We’ve added some fantastic new pieces of equipment, especially for leg training enthusiasts. You’ll find the Roger’s Squat Pro and the Pendulum Squat by Arsenal Strength ready to take your workouts to the next level. Excitingly, we’ve also added deadlifting platforms in our bodybuilding room—something we couldn’t do at our old location.
Powerlifting Area: Competition Ready
We’re putting in the effort to make our powerlifting area truly exceptional, aiming to replicate what you’d see in a competition setting. Expect two Eleiko combo racks, one ER combo rack, a dedicated deadlift area, and three Eleiko IPF certified competition bars. It’s going to be a powerlifting paradise!

Bodybuilding room 2.0
The bodybuilding room has been revamped, allowing for a more structured look. We now have two squat racks in the room, along with a new rogue belt squat. The layout allows for more space. Dumbbells are now in the center of the room. Mirrors will be placed over the dumbbells in the future.
New Name, New Motivation
Part of growing is learning to adapt and evolve in an ever-changing market. We've rebranded from elite gym to elite barbell. We feel the name better establishes us as a premier training facility. We are in a different league no a different sport than regular chain gyms. Through our equipment our community and the way we operate. We hope you enjoy the name as well as our new logo. For us, it represents the love we have for training and our beloved city. Our facility will be a beacon to those two things and foster a community that will be equally as inviting.
We wave goodbye to Elite Gym and cherish the good times. Long live Elite Barbell onward!
We are almost Ready for Soft Open but we are asking for your Help.
I am happy to announce that the Gym is close to being done as far as paint and equipment. I would like to thank members and friends that have helped with transporting equipment and also helping up to this point.
The Gym still has electrical repairs and plumbing that needs to continue to get worked on. The Gym has been painted and mats have been layed out along with placing of some equipment.
The Gym is looking to do a soft open soon , we are hoping to get the word out to raise some more money to get some crucial areas ready for the launch.
I have added some more Perks for smaller donations.
If we raise enough money we will be able to open the gym in the next weeks to come.

First and foremost, I would like to extend a huge thank you for your patience and loyalty. That patience and loyalty does not go unnoticed. We at Elite Gym, are truly grateful for the loyal members of the gym and to the social media followers. Here is a brief update on what is happening:
Elite Gym is opening up its new location in the Bensonhurst part of Brooklyn. This location will be near City Transportation, a few blocks away from MTA, the D and the N trains.
The new location is an ample 4,000 square feet with very high ceilings and plenty of ventilation. Its location is 1406 65th Street, Bk, NY 11219. We are currently working on outfitting the gym to meet everyone’s needs. We are hoping to have it up and running by the end of August where we will launch a soft opening.
WITH YOUR HELP WE WILL OPEN THE DOORS TO ELITE GYM AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AND MAKE IT THE BEST GYM IN BROOKLYN!
Fundraiser/Campaign
In hopes of raising money, we will be releasing some cool t-shirts with some hip graphic designs with our Elite Gym Logo. T-shirts can be pre-ordered on our website with prices varying from 29.99-34.99.
We will be working on a t-shirt program where if four t-shirts are purchased, you will get one of your choice for free. Our goal is to create a cool Merch Club for our members where we use great quality materials and awesome graphic designs inspired by Cool Pop Culture but with an Elite Gym spin on it. New designs will be released throughout the year.
We will have a point system in place where members can earn points when they purchase products/items from the Elite Gym store. Points can be used toward gym membership discounts or to buy merchandise from the gym store.
We are also releasing a new Indiegogo link where we will be able to raise money both gyms in Jersey City and in Bensonhurst to help improve both gyms and create an evolving safe environment for members.
